Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months of sterile processing experience.
• Preferred: enrolled in a sterile processing training program.
• Preferred: completed 400 hours of sterile processing internship.

Responsibilities

• Decontamination of instrumentation and medical equipment using chemical agents and automated systems.
• Assembles, preps and packs instrumentation; inspects for cleanliness and function.
• Sterilizes instruments following prescribed procedures and monitors processes for validation.
• Picks case carts and maintains sterile storage; coordinates with perioperative team.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
