Job summary

SIPS Consults is seeking a hands-on CSPD Manager to lead sterile processing and distribution operations in Chicago. You will oversee decontamination, sterilization, instrument assembly, and tray accuracy, while mentoring staff and ensuring patient safety and quality standards.

You will drive scheduling, performance reviews, and budget management, partnering with executive leadership to translate expectations into measurable results.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or 10+ years experience required.
• 7+ years in acute/ambulatory sterile processing; 5+ years in SPD leadership.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and presentations.
• Ability to work extended hours and perform physical job demands.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and mentor CSPD staff; manage schedules, productivity, and performance.
• Drive process improvement, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure on-time tray delivery, accurate instrument sets, and inventory control.
• Use data to improve outcomes—productivity, quality, and cost management.
• Partner with Administration and SPD leadership to deliver measurable results.
• Oversee staffing, budgeting, reporting, training, and competency validation.
