Job summary

The CSPD Educator at University of Miami Health System reports to the Executive Director of Central Sterile Processing. You will coordinate and execute education across CSPD and related areas, developing, implementing and evaluating programs to support professional development and staff competency.

You will oversee in‑services, audits, quality initiatives, product evaluations, and education records while maintaining compliance with AORN, AAMI, JCAHO, CMS, CDC, OSHA and FDA standards; participate

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required.
• Certification: CRCST, CST, CIS, CHL or CER (or equivalent) preferred.
• Experience: 5+ years in Central Sterile Processing and/or Operating Room.
• Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and organizational abilities; strong computer skills (Word/Excel).
• Regulatory knowledge: Familiarity with state and regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute CSPD education across CSPD and nursing floors.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate education programs for staff competency.
• Lead in‑services, product evaluations, and quality assurance activities.
• Maintain education records and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in interdepartmental committees and communicate with managers.
