Job summary

Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles seeks a CSMA Technical Trainer to develop and deliver high‑quality statewide training across customer service centers, the contact center, and leveraged services.

The role requires designing curricula, measuring effectiveness, and updating content to meet evolving DMV needs, with instruction in classroom, virtual, and hybrid formats. This position will be housed at the West Henrico CSC and supports statewide operations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DMV policies and procedures for training and development.
• Understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for diverse audiences.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual platforms (WebEx, LMS).
• Strong organization and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to maintain training documentation and records.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and deliver high-quality training programs for staff across service centers and centers.
• Provide classroom, virtual, and hybrid instruction on DMV policies and services.
• Evaluate curriculum effectiveness and update content based on feedback and regulations.
• Support employee development and ensure compliance with state and federal rules.
• House training programs at the West Henrico Customer Service Center and related sites.
