Job summary

Dell Technologies in Austin, Texas, invites motivated undergraduates to join the Hardware Engineering Intern program within the Client Solutions Group. You will work on designing and testing analogue and digital hardware, engaging with multi-discipline teams to develop innovative solutions for Dell client products.

As a Hardware Engineering Intern, you will incubate new ideas, prepare specifications, and contribute to simulations and physical testing.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a computer, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Technology or Computer Science undergraduate related degree with a graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028
• Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience with MS Office and other software productivity tools
• Hardware Component and Systems Design and development experience
• Ability to create and analyze architectural and product specifications
• Knowledge of high-volume manufacturing technologies and processes
• Desirable: fundamentals of statistical analysis
• Desirable: proficiency in design software such as Creo, Fusion, ANSYS, Flotherm XT/Flotherm, Allegro, and OrCAD

• Incubate new products, technologies, or features that enable product innovation

Essential Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a computer, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Technology or Computer Science undergraduate related degree with a graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028


• Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience with MS Office and other software productivity tools: Word Processer, Spreadsheet, Presentation, Scheduling, etc.


• Hardware Component and Systems Design and development experience


• Ability to create and analyze architectural and product specifications


• Knowledge of high-volume manufacturing technologies and processes

Desirable Requirements

• Fundamentals of statistical analysis


• Proficiency in any of the design software: Creo, Fusion, ANSYS, and/or Flotherm XT/Flotherm computational fluid dynamics simulation software, Allegro, and OrCAD)

Compensation
