Dell Technologies in Austin, TX seeks a Hardware Engineering Intern to join the Client Solutions Group Engineering team. You will work with mechanical engineers to define future architecture for Dell client products and take ownership with accountability in a fast-changing environment.

The ideal candidate is customer-focused, results-driven and a strong team player who thrives on learning new technologies and documenting findings clearly.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a computer, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Technology or Computer Science undergraduate related degree with a graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028
Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience with MS Office and other software productivity tools: Word Processor, Spreadsheet, Presentation, Scheduling, etc.
Hardware Component and Systems Design and development experience
Ability to create and analyze architectural and product specifications
Knowledge of high-volume manufacturing technologies and processes
Fundamentals of statistical analysis
Proficiency in design software: Creo, Fusion, ANSYS, Flotherm XT/Flotherm, Allegro, and OrCAD

Responsibilities

Incubate new products, technologies, or features that enable product innovation
Develop POC and technical specifications for new products, features, and capabilities
Preform simulation, analytical analysis, design, and physical testing for computer hardware
Responsible for interfacing with multi-discipline teams; intellectually flexible and able to quickly understand and build upon new technology
Development of detailed, yet clear and concise summary reports of investigations and activities

You will:

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this position is: The pay range for this position is $29.60-$31.80.
