Job summary

County of Riverside is seeking CSA Facilities Caretakers to perform grounds maintenance, landscaping, irrigation inspection, and minor building repairs across Riverside County. This role involves independent daily care of outlying CSA facilities, coordinating improvement projects, and supervising trustee labor to maintain parks and related facilities.

Work schedule is 9/80, 6:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday with alternating Fridays off; uniforms are provided and county vehicle use may be

Qualifications

Two years in grounds maintenance or landscape gardening work, and general building maintenance.
Experience with irrigation systems, lawn installation and maintenance, and plant/tree care.
Ability to operate power tools and landscaping equipment; maintain and repair common grounds/building systems.

Responsibilities

Plant, water, prune, mow, and care for lawns, shrubs, trees; apply fertilizers and pesticides as needed.
Inspect and repair irrigation, sprinklers, fences, and parking lots; maintain equipment and playgrounds.
Operate tractors and trucks to haul trash, dirt, and rocks; clean and service restrooms.
Check buildings/equipment for needed repairs; perform minor carpentry, painting, plumbing, and custodial tasks.
Supervise trustee labor in grounds/building projects; assist with public inquiries and park use coordination.
May coordinate park use as a fire camp with fire station reps during events; patrol and protect property.
