Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a CS/SPD Certified Technician to join Hillcrest Hospital's Sterile Processing team in Mayfield Heights, OH. The role emphasizes decontamination, sterilization, instrument prep and case cart management to support surgical workflows.

Evening shift 3:00pm-11:30pm with on-call requirements; sign-on bonus up to $5,000 offered. Requires CSPD/CRCST/CER/CFER certification and 2–5 years of Central Service experience, with a focus on patient safety and quality

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED.
Sterile Processing Distribution Certification (CRCST/CSPDT/CER/CFER) required.
Two to five years of Central Service experience.
Military hospital corps experience considered.
Experience with instrument tracking systems.

Responsibilities

Provide safe, efficient decontamination, instrument assembly, wrapping and sterilization of reprocessed instruments.
Perform case pull functions.
Support productivity standards and adapt to staffing needs.
Handle equipment, instrumentation and chemicals with PPE and maintenance schedules.
Determine case carts for specialty procedures and build carts accordingly.
Dispatch case carts to ensure availability for procedures.
Maintain records, stock, and inventory control.
Scan and inspect instruments for cleanliness and assemble per lists.
