Job summary

Crown College is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor of Computer Science to lead the design and implementation of a new bachelor’s program in CS and/or IT. The role includes teaching undergraduate courses in CS, IT, cybersecurity, AI, and machine learning, with emphasis areas as needed.

The position requires collaboration with faculty and administration, and it supports Crown College’s mission and faith-based approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience teaching CS/IT at the college level.
• Ability to design, implement, and assess new degree programs and courses.
• Willingness to integrate Christian faith into teaching and program activities.

Responsibilities

• Design, submit for accreditation approval, and implement a new degree in CS/IT or related field.
• Attract new students and prepare graduates for internships, graduate school, and career placement.
• Teach undergraduate CS/IT courses based on expertise and needs.
• Stay current with CS research, teaching methods, and curriculum development.
• Contribute to the field and to college teaching as part of faculty responsibilities.
