Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a qualified Education Programs Coordinator in Maryland to design and deliver in-person and online professional development for K‑12 and higher education educators. You will collaborate with the Maryland State Department of Education on CS standards, conduct needs assessments, and mentor teachers to improve instructional practice.

The role also involves coordinating workshop logistics, ensuring CEU/CPD credits, and providing LMS support and data reports to inform program

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Computer Science, STEM, Instructional Design, Learning Technologies, or related field.
Five (5) years of experience in education, computer science education, STEM education, instructional design, or related P‑20 fields.
Experience designing, facilitating, and/or supporting in-person and online professional development for educators or adult learners.
Experience providing coaching, mentoring, or implementation support to K‑12 educators.
Experience coordinating programs, events, or professional learning activities, including scheduling, registration, participant communication, and logistical support.
Knowledge of instructional practices, adult learning theory, and effective facilitation strategies.
Skill in facilitating professional learning experiences in both in-person and virtual environments.
Ability to coach, mentor, and support educators in implementation of instructional practices, programs, or initiatives.
Proficiency with learning management systems (Canvas), including course setup, participant support, and troubleshooting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and project management tools.
Ability to organize, analyze, and interpret data and communicate findings clearly to diverse audiences.
Strong written communication skills for training materials, guides, reports, and stakeholder communications.
Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple priorities.
Ability to coordinate program logistics and communicate with participants, educators, facilitators, and stakeholders.
Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and build productive relationships.
Knowledge of accessibility standards (ADA/WCAG) or ability to learn quickly.
Ability to support inclusive, equitable, accessible professional learning environments.

Responsibilities

Design, facilitate, and evaluate professional development workshops for K‑12 and higher education educators, including online formats.
Collaborate with the Maryland State Department of Education on CS standards development and revision.
Conduct quarterly needs assessments related to CS, computational thinking, and content instruction.
Provide coaching and mentoring to teachers to support instructional improvement.
Coordinate event logistics, including registration, communications, and resources.
Ensure CEU/CPD credits align with state requirements and reporting.
