Job summary

BNY Mellon is seeking a Cryptography Engineer to join the Cybersecurity team in Lake Mary, FL or Pittsburgh, PA. The role focuses on implementing cryptography, managing KMS, and moving toward Post-Quantum Cryptography.

You will partner with cross-functional teams, build and support HSM solutions, and document architectures and procedures for regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity or related field required or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience installing and supporting cryptographic solutions.
• Knowledge of cryptographic algorithms, HSMs, KMS, PQC.

Responsibilities

• Implement and support cryptography and Key Management Systems (KMS) across the enterprise.
• Build and support a Cryptographic Asset Management Platform for PQC migration.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define cryptography use cases and keys usage.
• Develop and support HSM solutions.
• Create architecture, system build procedures, and knowledge articles documentation.
• Respond to requests from users, Internal Audit, and regulators on PKI.

We're seeking a future team member for the role of Cryptography Engineer to join our Cybersecurity team. This role is in Lake Mary, FL or Pittsburgh, PA.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

• Implement and support cryptography and Key Management Systems (KMS) solutions across the BNY Enterprise.
• Build, integrate, and support a Cryptographic Asset Management Platform to enable the move to Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC).
• Partner with cross-functional teams to determine cryptography and keys use cases.
• Build and Support HSM solutions.
• Create architecture, system build, procedures, and knowledge articles documentation.
• Respond to requests from users, Internal Audit, and Federal Regulators on BNY PKI.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity or related fields.
• Certifications: CISSP.
• 5+ years of experience installing and supporting cryptographic solutions.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with the following:
  • HSMs and Key Management Systems (KMS).
  • Cryptographic algorithms and key management.
  • Automation of cryptographic key services.
  • Must have experience with Thales product line- Thales HSM, Thales Ciphertrust.
• Knowledge of the following:
  • Knowledge of Oracle key vault.
  • Quantum Computing and Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC).
• Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards (GDPR, DORA, NIST, and ISO 27001).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
