Job summary

BNY is seeking a Post-Quantum Cryptography Engineer to join its Cybersecurity team in Lake Mary, FL or Pittsburgh, PA. The role focuses on building and integrating cryptographic platforms, advancing PQC adoption, and supporting cryptographic asset management across the enterprise.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, document architectures and procedures, and respond to audits and regulator inquiries while upholding industry standards like NIST and ISO 27001.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity or related fields.
• CISSP certification.
• 5+ years of experience installing and supporting cryptographic solutions.
• Experience with HSMs and Key Management Systems (KMS).
• Experience with automation of cryptographic key services.

Responsibilities

• Build, integrate, and support a Cryptographic Asset Management Platform to enable the move to Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC).
• Implement and support cryptography solutions across the BNY Enterprise.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to determine cryptography use cases.
• Create architecture, system build, procedures, and knowledge articles documentation.
• Respond to requests from users, Internal Audit, and Federal Regulators on BNY PKI.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

• Certifications: CISSP.

• Knowledge and hands-on experience with the following:
  • HSMs and Key Management Systems (KMS).
  • Automation of cryptographic key services.
• Knowledge of the following:
  • Cryptographic algorithms and key management.
  • Secure protocols and certificates.
  • Quantum Computing and Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC).
  • Automated discovery and inventory of cryptographic assets.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards (GDPR, DORA, NIST, and ISO 27001).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
