Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Cryptocurrency Fund Manager to lead a dedicated digital assets fund. The role requires deep crypto market knowledge, portfolio management, risk assessment, and strategic execution.

You will drive fund performance and mentor analysts in a premier investment firm based in Paarl, Western Cape. The ideal candidate has a strong track record in volatile markets, CFA is a plus, and excellent leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 8 years in portfolio management or fund management, 3+ years in digital assets.
• Proven track record in investment performance; CFA or similar credentials are a plus.
• Deep knowledge of crypto markets, DeFi, risk modeling, and valuation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement investment strategies for the cryptocurrency fund.
• Conduct market research, asset analysis, and due diligence on investments.
• Manage and optimize portfolio with diversification and risk controls.
• Execute trades across crypto exchanges and platforms efficiently.
• Monitor regulatory developments and market trends affecting crypto.
• Manage relationships with custodians, exchanges, and legal advisors.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.
• Prepare performance reports and investor presentations.
• Lead and mentor a team of investment analysts and traders.
