SoFi is seeking a Financial Intelligence Unit Senior Specialist - Crypto to conduct AML investigations with an emphasis on cryptocurrency and virtual assets, ensuring compliance with BSA/AML regulations. Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university in a related field.
• 3-5 years of investigations‑related experience within a financial institution or government agency.
• Minimum of 1-2 years in cryptocurrency‑related AML transaction monitoring.
• Strong working knowledge of OFAC regulatory requirements and experience working with screening tools and relevant technologies.
• Ability to maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of BSA/AML laws and regulations relative to sanctions, money laundering, and terrorist financing, especially with regard to virtual assets.
• Demonstrated written and verbal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

Aufgaben

• Conduct and review AML investigations focusing on cryptocurrency and virtual assets to evaluate risk and SAR filing.
• Perform on‑chain investigations to determine wallet risk exposure, source/destination of funds, and on‑chain attribution including sanctions exposure.
• Ensure alerts and determinations are well-supported and documented.
• Maintain knowledge of AML typologies related to retail banking, brokerage, and digital assets, including scams and cross‑chain activity.
• Provide use‑case experience to enhance detection and prevention of suspicious activity.
• Assist management with ad‑hoc projects, investigations, and creation of training documentation and procedures.
