Job summary

Crane Co. in Brazil, Indiana is seeking a TIG Welder for our Production Team. In this manufacturing role you will weld thin gauge stainless steel and aluminum, read blueprints, and ensure all welds meet dimensional specifications and cosmetic standards.

You must lift up to 50 lbs, follow Weld Procedure Specifications, and work safely. We value strong math skills, attention to detail, good attendance, teamwork, and a willingness to learn and advance.

Qualifications

• Experience with welding and reading blueprints to meet specs.
• Strong math skills and attention to detail are essential.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Wrapping insulation on localized area of product
• Sharpening of own tungsten
• Following Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS) on all certified welding jobs
• Following welding requirements as specified in the Manufacturing Manual
• Contacting supervision or Weld Coordinator when rework is required so the applicable rework documents can be completed
• Following all applicable safety rules and regulations
• Recommending and helping to implement method improvements and cost reductions.
• All other duties as directed by supervisor
