Job summary

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory is seeking a Cryogenic Systems Engineering Manager to lead cryogenic operations at the National Ignition Facility. This role requires technical leadership and high-level oversight across various cryogenic systems supporting advanced experiments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cryogenic systems, extensive team leadership experience, and the ability to communicate effectively across multiple disciplines.

This position requires full-time on-site presence and the ability to obtain a Q-level security clearance.

Qualifications

• Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.
• Extensive knowledge and experience with cryogenic systems and experience leading cryogenic operations and engineering teams.
• Demonstrated ability to develop innovative methods and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams with a technical focus, monitor workflow, allocate resources, and ensure timely completion of projects.
• Provide strategic direction and technical leadership for the Cryo Operations and Cryo Engineering teams.
• Lead the design, integration, and optimization of cryogenic test systems.
