Barrios Technology is seeking a Cryogenics Mechanical Engineer to support NASA-related cryogenic systems in Houston, TX. The role involves design, analysis, and field installation activities, with responsibilities across safety reviews and system commissioning.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team using CAD tools and engage with vendors to ensure successful delivery of cryogenic components and piping systems.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with pressure components, mechanical equipment design, and cryogenic hardware.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate with vendors and procurement professionals.

Responsabilidades

• Perform engineering design and analysis for cryogenic components, vacuum jacketed and warm piping systems, and associated mechanical systems.
• Develop procurement and fabrication documentation, including Statements of Work, specifications, and engineering drawings.
• Coordinate with vendors and fabricators, participate in design reviews, and witness key testing activities.
• Support facility operations for 20 K helium systems, 80 K liquid nitrogen storage, and distribution systems.
• Provide troubleshooting, maintenance guidance, and technical oversight during equipment assembly, installation, and commissioning.
• Prepare and participate in safety reviews, hazard analyses, operational procedures, and engineering review boards.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplined engineering teams and present design and technical findings.
• This is an on-site role.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
