Job summary

Beyond New Horizons has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering Technical Specialist at Arnold AFB, TN. You will support the Chambers Test Ops engineering staff, enabling reliable data for sensors, satellite technologies, and optics through mechanical systems including cryogenic fluids.

The role requires six years in cryogenics/space testing, active security clearance, and readiness for extended hours. Space chamber facilities and AEDC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Six years of experience in cryogenics and space testing.
• Must obtain and maintain an active security clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship is required due to federal government contract compliance.
• Active DoD security clearance at level preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for mechanical systems including water, air and cryogenic fluids.
• Assist test operations engineers with system maintenance and design.
• Coordinate with test customers to define facility-based requirements.
• Analyze system operation during tests to ensure specifications are met.
• Maintain inventory of tools and spare parts for test operations.
