Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems in the United States seeks a Senior Process Engineer to join the SPARC Cryoplant (CRYP) team and deliver a large-scale helium cryogenics plant on time and on budget.

The role focuses on thermal-fluid process design, commissioning support, safety and controls development, and finalizing process design documentation. You will work with vendors and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering.
• Experience with fluid systems, cryogenic handling, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Learn CRYO system and become SME for commissioning/operations.
• Design and analyze thermal-fluid systems and plant processes.
• Support commissioning, including shift work.
• Create 2D/3D drawings and process schematics.
• Develop interface requirements and hardware specs.
• Write specs, RFIs/RFPs, and manage procurements.
• Coordinate field and factory contractor activities.
