Job summary

Equiliem is seeking a Mechanical Technician to operate and maintain a cryogenic Air Separation Unit in Fremont, CA. You will monitor plant processes via SCADA, HMI, and PLC systems and perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and calibration on a range of equipment.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of experience with industrial equipment, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently with a focus on safety and quality. The role is full-time with standard M-F hours.

Qualifications

• Requires 2+ years operating an Air Separation Plant or related industrial equipment.
• Able to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and process equipment issues independently.
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Able to recognize process abnormalities and make sound operating and maintenance decisions.
• Experience using common hand tools and electrical/mechanical test equipment.
• Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and equipment documentation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain safe operation of cryogenic Air Separation Unit and related equipment.
• Operate SCADA, HMI, PLC and other control systems to monitor and adjust processes.
• Control flows, purities, pressures, and production rates to meet requirements.
• Perform preventive, predictive, corrective maintenance and calibrations.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and instrumentation systems.
