Job summary

Airgas is hiring a Plant Engineer in Mebane, NC to design and implement projects that enhance safety, reliability and efficiency. The role focuses on instrument, control, engine, and mechanical systems within a cryogenic Air Separation Unit, with collaboration across operations and safety teams.

The candidate should have 2-5 years of engineering experience, the ability to provide on-call technical assistance, and ideally experience in cryogenics. A B.S.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of operational or project engineering experience is required.
• Ability to provide on-call technical assistance to plant personnel.
• Experience in cryogenics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements projects to improve safety, reliability, or efficiency at the plant.
• Designs plant processes including instruments, controls, engines, machines, and thermal, hydraulic, or heat transfer systems.
• Supports safety, health, and environmental procedures and permits reporting.
