Job summary

Airgas is hiring a Production Operator in Tulsa, OK to handle cryogenic liquids and industrial gases in a fast-paced environment. You will operate filling equipment, monitor weights and pressures, and help ensure safety and quality standards are met.

The role includes a Monday–Friday schedule with daytime shifts and a comprehensive benefits package supporting medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans. Applicants must be able to obtain forklift certification and meet U.S.

Qualifications

• Ability to become forklift certified is required.
• Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future. This position is not open for non-immigrant visa sponsorship.
• Ability to read and comprehend Safety Data Sheets, labels and all other written communications.

Responsibilities

• Fills cryogenic liquids and pure non-flammable industrial gases according to Airgas Fill Plant Standard Operating Procedures by any of the following methods: sets pressure gauge to reading and monitors for indication of full cylinders; adjusts valves and observes gauge to fill cylinder to specified pressure; observes scale indicator to fill cylinders to specified weight.
• Fills cylinder to full capacity, moves cylinder onto scale using safe handling techniques, and connects vent line to release excess gas and ensure the prescribed weight is met.
• Positions cylinders onto platform or in manifold racks with aid of material handling equipment or team-supported techniques.
• Tests gas for purity using testing equipment to maintain high-quality standards.
• Inspects and evaluates empty cylinders to ensure safety.
• Examines exterior of cylinder for surface defects and quarantines if needed.
• Contributes to team goals and supports plant operations as needed.
