Job summary

Blue Origin in the United States is seeking an experienced Liquids Cryogenic Hardware Design Engineer to define, analyze, and own fluid systems for Lunar Transporter missions, including cryogenic components and piping.

You will lead design reviews, work with suppliers, and ensure system integration from concept through vehicle integration, with emphasis on reliability in deep space environments. Relocation provided and travel up to 15% are expected.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 8+ years designing aerospace propulsion and cryogenic fluid systems.
• Expertise in cryogenic components (valves, regulators, pumps).
• Experience creating/reading P&IDs and fabrication drawings.
• Experience from concept to vehicle integration.
• DFM-friendly design practices.

Responsibilities

• Define & own requirements for lunar cryogenic environments.
• Drive design reviews and defend technical decisions.
• Source materials and components with suppliers for lunar missions.
• Execute full design lifecycle from refinement to delivery.
• Produce engineering drawings and verification packages.
• Lead problem solving with advanced analyses in cryogenic space.
