Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced Liquids Cryogenic Hardware Design Engineer to own the complete lifecycle of cryogenic fluid systems for lunar transport missions. You will design, analyze, test, integrate, and operate propulsion subsystems for the Lunar Transporter, delivering reliable hardware for deep space environments.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, source materials, and prepare verification packages while meeting mission standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years designing aerospace propulsion and cryogenic fluid systems.
• Expertise in cryogenic components (valves, regulators, pumps).
• Proficiency in cryogenic fluid system sizing analysis and selection.
• Experience creating P&IDs and fabrication drawings.
• Experience in cryogenic fluid system from concept through vehicle integration.
• Experience in design for manufacturing best practices.

Responsibilities

• Define & own requirements for lunar-specific environments.
• Drive design reviews with cross-functional teams.
• Specify & procure materials and components for lunar missions.
• Execute full cycle from design through build, test, delivery.
• Document drawings, P&IDs, and verification packages.
• Lead problem solving with structural and fluid analyses in lunar environment.
