Quantinuum in Broomfield, CO seeks a Senior Advanced Controls Engineer to lead design, implementation, and optimization of automation and control systems for direct-use cryogenic helium infrastructure. You will serve as the technical authority on control architecture and instrumentation strategy to enable safe, high-performance operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 6+ years designing, commissioning, and supporting industrial control systems.
• U.S. Person status required (citizenship, permanent resident, or green card).
• U.S. Government security requirement excludes non-citizen nationals from PRC or RF.
• Experience with PLC/HMI/SCADA and DCS architectures.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate with non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead cryogenic system design and development for helium applications.
• Optimize systems for efficiency, reliability, and performance.
• Contribute to R&D projects advancing cryogenic processes.
• Install, commission, and troubleshoot cryogenic turbomachinery and control systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and operations for seamless integration.
• Maintain documentation of workflows, configurations, and safety procedures.
