Job summary
PsiQuantum is seeking a Manager, Process Control Engineer to design, implement, and operate cryogenic instrumentation, electrical, and control systems. You will lead PLC hardware, software development, and commissioning across global cryogenic infrastructure.
The role includes hands-on technical leadership, developing control philosophies, and mentoring the Cryogenics Controls team. Based in Milpitas, CA, travel is required to support installations worldwide.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Controls or related engineering.
- 7-10+ years designing and commissioning industrial process control systems.
- Strong hands-on experience with PLC-based automation systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, implementation, and commissioning of PLC-based cryogenic control systems.
- Electrical engineering lead for cryogenic systems up to 480 V.
- Develop PLC software, safety interlocks, and automation functions.
- Create HMI applications for diagnostics, trending, and alarms.
- Lead installation, commissioning, and performance validation of new cryogenic systems.
