Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking an experienced operator for our concrete and asphalt recycling plant in the United States. You will run jaw/HSI crushers, screens, magnets, and conveyors, while managing sequencing, feed rates, and product quality through real‑time inspections.

Candidates should have 3+ years' experience with crushing and screening equipment in related settings, be able to troubleshoot and perform maintenance, and possess welding skills plus the ability to operate

Qualifications

• 3+ years operating crushing and screening equipment in aggregate, recycling, or mining environments.
• Able to trouble-shoot and perform routine maintenance on plant machinery.
• Understanding of how crusher settings, feed rates, and screen configurations affect quality and efficiency.
• Proficient welding and fabrication; able to operate loaders/excavators to support plant ops.

Responsibilities

• Operate a full concrete/asphalt recycling plant including jaw and HSI crushers, multi‑deck screens, magnets, and conveyors.
• Manage plant sequencing, adjust crusher settings and feed rates, maintain product quality via real‑time material assessment.
• Monitor plant performance, troubleshoot to reduce downtime, and manage inbound material contamination.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance: belt tracking/splicing, idler/roller changes, screen media replacement, lubrication, HSI blow bar work.
• Support safe operations by operating loaders/excavators, conducting pre‑operational inspections, and maintaining clean, compliant work areas.
