Job summary

Turner Staffing Group in Hinkley, CA is seeking a Plant/Process Operator to keep a quarry plant running safely and efficiently. This hands-on role requires monitoring crushers, screens, and conveyors, starting and stopping equipment, and maintaining logs.

Ideal candidates have 1–2+ years in similar mining/heavy industrial settings, strong safety discipline, and a valid driver’s license. On-site work with potential OT and outdoor desert conditions.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years operating a crushing, screening, or processing plant in heavy industrial settings.
• Working knowledge of crushers, screens, conveyors, and related plant equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Strong commitment to safety and following procedures consistently.
• Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime or extended shifts.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the Hinkley site.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor crushing, screening, and conveying equipment to spec.
• Start up, run, and shut down plant equipment following SOPs.
• Monitor material flow, adjust settings, and maintain production rates.
• Identify jams, blockages, and spillage around crushers and conveyors.
• Perform routine inspections, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance.
• Report issues and assist with repairs as needed.
• Complete pre-shift exams and maintain production logs.
• Keep areas clean and organized around belts and walkways.
• Follow MSHA regulations and site safety policies, including lockout/tagout.
• Coordinate with plant supervisor and crew for production
