Job summary

HK Contractors is hiring a Crusher Loader Operator in Idaho Falls to operate front-end loaders and support crushing and screening plants. You will feed crushers, load trucks, and manage stockpiles while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

The Crusher Loader Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of front‑end loaders and other heavy equipment to feed crushing and screening plants, manage material stockpiles, load customer trucks, and support daily quarry or aggregate production activities. This position works closely with plant personnel and management to ensure production, quality, safety, and environmental objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
  • Operate a front‑end loader to feed crushers, screens, hoppers, and conveyors with aggregate material.
  • Load customer trucks and maintain accurate load quantities as required.
  • Build, maintain, and reclaim aggregate stockpiles in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Conduct pre‑shift and post‑shift inspections of mobile equipment and report maintenance needs promptly.
  • Perform routine servicing and minor maintenance on equipment, including fueling, lubrication, and cleaning.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report any mechanical issues or unsafe conditions.
  • Assist with crusher and plant maintenance activities as needed.
  • Follow established production schedules and operational procedures to meet production goals.
  • Maintain work areas in a clean and organized condition through housekeeping activities.
  • Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and site inspections.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors, maintenance personnel, truck drivers, and other team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Previous experience operating front‑end loaders, haul trucks, or other heavy equipment preferred.

Experience in aggregate, quarry, mining, construction, or related industries preferred.

Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills are an asset.

Ability to safely operate heavy equipment in a production environment.

Working knowledge of safe operating practices and workplace safety regulations.

Ability to perform equipment inspections and identify maintenance concerns.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and varying shifts as business needs require.

Valid Driver’s License is preferred.
