Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. seeks a Youth Counselor to lead and coordinate engaging activities for children 2–17 aboard the ship, ensuring safety and timely execution.

The role requires strong public speaking, costume performance, and hospitality skills, with responsibilities in program reporting and cross-department collaboration. Candidates should have at least one year of youth programming experience, theatre/drama activities, and preferably special needs programming.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in a combination of programming and implementing youth recreation, youth sports, and/or childhood education for ages 2-17 is required.
• Minimum one year experience in programming and implementing theatrical/drama related activities is required.
• One year experience with special needs programming strongly preferred.
• Intermediate to Advanced level English verbal and writing skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Implement scheduled social, entertainment, sporting, recreational, theatrical, and craft programs for guests aged 2-17 years old, ensuring safety and on-time delivery.
• Speak on a microphone and engage large groups in a public venue as an effective Host/Hostess.
• Dress in costume and perform character roles to entertain guests.
• Communicate ship information and Youth Program policies to parents/adults.
• Maintain storage, inventory and ordering of equipment and supplies used in programs.
• Work as a team with cruise staff and other shipboard departments; report on youth program operations and safety.
