Job summary

Norwegian Cruise Line America (NCLA) seeks an energetic Youth Counselor to lead our youth program on board the Pride of America. You will implement scheduled activities for guests aged 2–17 and host games and events for large groups in public spaces with enthusiasm.

The role requires excellent English, strong organizational skills, and comfort with microphones, costumes, and performing in character. Collaborate with cruise staff to ensure safe, fun daily activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ experience in programming and implementing youth recreation for ages 2–17.
• One year experience in theatrical/drama activities.
• Experience with special needs programming preferred.
• English language skills (advanced) required; second language preferred (German/Spanish/French/Italian).
• Proficiency in basic computer software (Word/Excel/Outlook).
• Experience with microphone use and public addressing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement scheduled youth programs for guests aged 2–17.
• Speak on a microphone and host activities for large groups.
• Maintain storage, inventory, and ordering of youth program equipment.
• Collaborate with cruise staff and other shipboard departments.
• Report youth program operations and safety procedures.
