Job summary

American Cruise Lines is seeking a skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician for the Western Region based in The Dalles, OR. The role maintains hotel spaces onboard ships, including furniture, fixtures, and interior finishes, with travel to vessels during the season.

You will collaborate with Hotel Operations and Fleet teams to ensure quality and guest satisfaction. Expect to perform carpentry tasks, wallpaper installation, and general maintenance, while following safety protocols and reporting

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of carpentry experience in hotels or cruise ships.
• Ability to travel to and from vessels as required.
• Strong organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills (English).
• US Coast Guard regulated pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Inspects public areas and stateroom furniture, fixtures and equipment.
• Installs wallpaper, tile, and carpet.
• Repairs and installs wood trim and moldings.
• Paints doors, walls, trim.
• Installs artwork and TVs.
• Performs general carpentry tasks.
• Fixes or replaces broken fixtures and equipment.
• Replaces light fixtures and fans.
• Resolves issues from the Hotel Maintenance ticket system.
• Travels to ships up to ~70% of the time and reports to Hotel Operations Manager.
