Job summary

American Cruise Lines is seeking a skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining the furniture, fixtures, and facility for interior hotel spaces onboard. This role involves significant travel and carpentry skills to ensure the ships are in good condition.

The Technician will work closely with the Fleet Hotel Maintenance Manager and Hotel Operations Managers, completing tasks such as installing wallpaper, carpet, and repairing various fixtures. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of carpentry experience in Hotels or Cruise Ships.
• Ability to travel to and from vessels as required.
• Strong organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills (English).
• US Coast Guard regulated pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Inspect public areas and stateroom hotel furniture, fixtures and equipment.
• Install wallpaper, tile, and carpet.
• Repair and install wood trim and moldings.
• Paint doors, walls, and trim.
• Install artwork and TVs.
• Perform general carpentry tasks.
• Fix or replace broken fixtures and equipment.
• Replace light fixtures and fans.
• Repair furniture.
• Resolve issues assigned from the Hotel Maintenance ticket system.
