Job summary

Hornblower Corp seeks a qualified Bartender to deliver high-quality beverages aboard our vessel with guest and service bars. You will follow recipes, provide prompt service, and stay hospitable to guests and crew while maintaining safety and knowledge of offerings.

Responsibilities include setting up and breaking down the bar, stocking per par specs, handling POS transactions, and communicating menu details, cruise routes and entertainment options.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or GED) required.
• At least one year of bartending experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of beverage recipes.
• Strong customer service, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; basic computer skills.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional hospitality to guests and coworkers as prescribed in Our RESPECT Service System.
• Accurately follow recipes for all beverages; thorough knowledge of beverage offerings and prices.
• Provide prompt and consistent bar service to guests and servers.
• Set up and break down bar; stock according to par specs; keep bar clean per SOPs.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of bar and all service areas and equipment.
• Accurately charge guests; enter orders in POS; handle payment and change.
• Inform guests about beverage and food menu descriptions, entertainment options, cruise routes, and points of interest.
• Additional duties as assigned.
