Job summary

GEMCAP Logistics is seeking a highly organized Cruise Logistics Specialist to support our cruise and marine logistics operation in Miami. This full-time role requires managing orders, coordinating with customers and carriers, and delivering timely updates to clients.

The position emphasizes Excel reporting, data analysis, and proactive problem solving, with responsibilities spanning schedule tracking, documentation, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Fluent professional English and Spanish required.
• Strong Advanced Excel skills and related formulas.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field is a plus.
• Experience in logistics, cruise logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain is a plus.
• Experience with ERP/TMS or other logistics software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and monitor customer orders from request to delivery.
• Coordinate transportation with customers, carriers, drivers, dispatch, and internal teams.
• Provide customers with timely and accurate shipment updates.
• Respond promptly to customer requests and operational issues.
• Anticipate delays and take action to prevent issues for customers.
• Track vessel schedules and time-sensitive requirements.
• Review open orders and upcoming activity daily to avoid oversights.
• Maintain rates, notes, and shipment status in the TMS.
• Follow up on PODs and shipment documentation.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports covering revenue, volume, KPI.
• Analyze data to identify trends and discrepancies.
• Create and maintain Excel-based reports for management.
• Assist management in improving processes, reporting, and service.
• Provide evening and weekend support as required.
