Job summary

Savage Services is hiring a Night Shift Local CDL A Hazmat Truck Driver in Williston, ND. You will operate on local routes, home every day, with a new location at 5029 142nd St NW Williston, ND. The role offers per-load pay and a $5,000 retention bonus, plus a $32/hour training pay.

You will conduct pre/post-shift inspections, haul crude oil and NGLs, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain accurate paperwork. Evening/night schedule includes a $25/day differential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CDL experience, preferably in an oilfield environment.
• 1+ year of crude or liquid hauling experience.
• Commitment to a zero-incident record: no spills, no injuries, no property damage.
• Ability to pass Savage’s road test including inspections.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive pre and post-shift vehicle inspections and take action on issues.
• Load and unload crude oil and NGLs as required.
• Operate haul operations safely and maintain product integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Accurately document locations visited and products handled; complete paperwork neatly.
• Report incidents in a timely manner and participate in the safety program.

Night Shift, Local CDL A Hazmat Truck Driver in Williston, ND. Home Every Day | Local Routes | New Location

• Earn 400-$600 per day or $100k-$120k annually (Pay per Load)
• $32/hour training pay

• Schedule:
  • 5 on 2 off or 6 on 1 off
  • Night shift 4-6pm to 4-6am
  • Night shift receives a $25/day differential

What You’ll Be Doing

• Conduct comprehensive pre and post-shift vehicle and equipment inspections, and take appropriate action on encountered problems
• Sample, test, and purchase crude oil using onboard equipment at designated locations.
• Load and unload crude oil and natural gas liquids (NGLs).
• Ensure accurate documentation, product integrity, and regulatory compliance during all operations.
• Utilize any on-board computer terminals to accurately record locations visited and products handled and ensure any additional paperwork is complete, neat, and legible
• Report incidents (operational and/or safety-related), as instructed, in a timely manner
• Contain and report any spill according to the established Occurrence Reporting procedures
• Take an active role in our safety program, including attendance at all safety meetings and ensuring safe behaviors of self and subordinates
• Transport additional chemical products as assigned.
• Haul oilfield tubulars on flatbed trailers, ensuring proper load securement and regulatory compliance.

Job Requirements

• Class A CDL with hazardous materials and tanker endorsements
• 2+ year of CDL Experience, preferably in an oilfield environment
• 1+ year of Crude or liquid hauling experience
• A commitment to work without an occurrence; no spills, no injuries and no property damage
• Can successfully pass Savage’s road test, which will include a proper pre- and post-trip inspection of the vehicle
• Comfortable working in an oilfield environment, including climbing ladders and stairs to the top of tanks, and working around flammable gases and other toxic fumes
• Must be willing to work days/nights/holidays
• High School Diploma/GED

Physical Requirements

• Climb into and out of the cab multiple times per shift
• Apply snow chains to tires
• Climb ladders and work at heights when needed
• Lift 50+ pounds occasionally
• Work and drive in adverse weather conditions
