Job summary

Community Health Systems seeks a Respiratory Therapist – CRT for Merit HealthCentral in Mississippi. You will deliver diagnostic, therapeutic, and pharmacologic respiratory care under physician orders, assess patients, monitor therapy response, and document outcomes.

Role requires CRT, BCLS within 30 days, ACLS/PALS as applicable, and 1–2 years of healthcare experience. Primary duties include ventilator management, airway care, and collaboration with the health team.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of healthcare experience preferred.
• CRT certification required; BCLS within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS, PALS require within stated timelines for department.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory treatments per physician orders and protocols.
• Manage ventilator settings and airway maintenance safely.
• Document assessments, interventions, and responses in the EMR.
• Assess patients, tailor therapy, and communicate with care teams.
• Ensure infection control and PPE protocols are followed.
• Respond to emergencies and support patient safety.
