Job summary

Merit Health Central in Mississippi seeks a Respiratory Therapist – CRT to deliver diagnostic, therapeutic, and pharmacologic respiratory care per physician orders and protocols. You will assess patients, monitor responses, and implement individualized plans while documenting thoroughly and ensuring safety.

Expect routine respiratory procedures, ventilator management, and collaboration with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• CRT certification is required.
• ACLS and PALS are required.
• NRP and STABLE are required when working in the NICU.

Responsibilities

• Administers respiratory treatments per physician orders and protocols.
• Orients patients to treatment modality for cooperation.
• Conducts patient assessments and monitors responses to therapy.
• Implements physician orders with compliant respiratory care procedures.
• Manages ventilator settings and airway maintenance.
• Documents all treatments and patient responses clearly and thoroughly.
