Job summary

Lee's Summit Medical Center in Lincoln, NE area is seeking a CRT to perform diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures per physician orders. You will administer gases, analyze specimens, operate CP/AP equipment, and support ventilation, while documenting care and maintaining safety. Requires NBRC-CRT, BCLS, and an accredited Associate Degree; team-based care is emphasized and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree required.
• BCLS certification required.
• NBRC-CRT certification required for eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures ordered by a physician.
• Administer medical gases and aerosols; analyze blood specimens as directed.
• Operate and maintain respiratory/cardiopulmonary equipment and assist with ventilation.
• Document patient data and ensure infection control practices are followed.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Under the general direction of the Manager/Supervisor or designee, performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures ordered by a physician. Duties include medical gas administration, aerosol therapy, obtaining and analyzing blood specimens, performing patient testing, operating and maintaining various types of respiratory and cardiopulmonary equipment, providing mechanical ventilation, maintaining artificial airways, assisting with cardiopulmonary resuscitation, providing patient education, monitoring equipment and patient response to therapy. Additional responsibilities include completing patient documentation in the patient and departmental records, to include all computerized documentation. Cleaning equipment and maintaining safety and infection control practices.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support
• (NBRC-CRT) Certified Respiratory Therapist
• Associate Degree Required
