Job summary

DDS Lab is seeking a Subject Matter Expert to provide hands-on dental laboratory expertise across multiple product areas including fixed, removable, and implants. You will define specifications, maintain standards, and support quality issues while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with offices and clinicians.

The role requires strong communication with doctors and internal teams, plus experience with CAD/CAM workflows and digital scanning to deliver best-in-class results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; CDT certification preferred as applicable.
• Seven+ years in dental laboratory technology.
• Experience across fixed, removable, implant, and orthodontic products.
• Proficient with CAD/CAM and digital scanning.
• Strong dental materials knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with multiple dental laboratory software platforms.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical expertise in assigned product areas (e.g., fixed, removable, implants).
• Define and maintain product specifications, design parameters, and quality standards.
• Investigate and resolve product, process, and quality issues for DDS Lab facilities and customers.
• Own delegation-of-authority responsibilities and review material lists.
• Mentor junior technicians and support training materials.
