Job summary

DDS Lab in Tampa, FL seeks a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with hands-on dental laboratory fabrication experience to provide technical leadership, quality oversight, and mentorship for our lab products and processes. This role requires strong communication with doctors and offices and disciplined documentation to support best practices.

You will define specifications, monitor materials and workflows, support new launches, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring FDA/OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; CDT certification preferred.
• Seven or more years of progressive experience in dental laboratory technology.
• Demonstrated expertise across fixed, removable, implant, and orthodontic restoration types.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM systems and digital scanning/design software preferred.
• Strong communication skills to interact with doctors, offices, customers, and teams.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical expertise in assigned product areas and processes.
• Define and maintain product specifications, treatment-planning guidelines, material criteria, and design parameters.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve product, process, and quality issues.
• Mentor junior technicians and monitor emerging technologies and workflows.
• Support new product launches and quality investigations across facilities.
