Job summary

City Of Cheyenne is seeking a Community Recreation Events Security guard to support city venues during events. You will supervise entrances, patrol facilities, and protect attendees, staff, and performers to ensure safety and order.

Ideal candidates have security or law enforcement background and a strong customer-service mindset. The role requires flexibility to work various hours, outdoors in different weather, with coordination across venue teams.

Qualifications

• Previous security officer or stadium event security experience.
• Customer-focused experience is beneficial.
• High school diploma or GED is required or acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee main entrances and access points to permit entry for authorized personnel.
• Protect performers, crew, guests, and fans during events.
• Guard against theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
• Conduct regular venue patrols and log incidents in the venue system.
• Maintain a professional appearance in approved event uniform and provide customer service.
• Collaborate with venue team to resolve conflicts and assist with security screenings.
