Job summary

The Regional Food Bank is looking for a warehouse associate to support various shifts across different roles in our Albany operations. You will help with distribution, forklift, order selecting, receiving docks, and palletizing for delivery and storage.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Prior experience operating power equipment in a warehouse setting preferred.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain power equipment certification.
• Must possess the flexibility to work in multiples areas during each shift or within the same area for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance in all areas of warehouse operations as needed including distribution, forklift, order selecting (dry, cooler, freezer), and receiving docks.
• Safely builds pallets of products for delivery and pickup.
• Completes the receiving process for assorted goods.
• Ensures pallets in reserve are stored safely.
• Replenishes picking locations as needed throughout the shift.
• Pulls and stages items for drive-thru and mass distribution.
• Assists with placing received products into reserve.
• Lifts, reserves, and drops pallets of stored goods to and from the overhead steel racking.
• Prepares and inspects pallets for safe reserving by wrapping, strapping, stacking, labeling, and correcting broken pallets.
• Assists with the physical inventory process.
• Maintains a clean and safe workspace.
• Inspects power equipment prior to use.
• Follows all safety standards and procedures.
• Works independently and collaboratively with other departments and employees in support of the mission of the Food Bank.
• Adheres to the Food Bank's Employee Code of Conduct.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older. Prior experience operating power equipment in a warehouse setting preferred. Physical Requirements: This position works in a typical warehouse setting and will be exposed to extreme temperatures and/or weather conditions. There will be extended periods of sitting, standing, and/or bending, pulling, and reaching. This position would normally have routine opportunities for the employee to be able to alter their physical position or change eye focus. This position will require safe use of power equipment. Employee should have the ability to lift to 80 pounds without assistance.
