Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Seattle, WA is seeking an RN for the Hospital Float Pool to provide nursing care across the Emergency Department, Surgical Pre/Post Operative, and Med/Surg Telemetry. This role is ideal for nurses with Med Surg Tele and ED experience, or ICU background, who thrive in a fast-paced environment.

The position is full-time with 5-12 hour night shifts, rotating weekends and holidays. Pay ranges from $44 to $81 per hour, contingent on experience.

Qualifications

• RN License in Washington State (or Multistate Compact)
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification within 6 months of start

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to a defined group of patients.
• Coordinate and facilitate health care services for patients.
• Collaborate with the health care team to implement care plans.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of nursing care needs.
• Develop written plans of care based on patient needs.
• Provide telephone consultations to patient and families.
• Evaluate patient responses to care and modify plans as needed.
• Assess patient lifestyle risk factors and promote self-care.
• Participate in continued education programs and staff orientation.
• Assure quality of care through participation in quality assurance activities.
