Job summary

St. Charles Community College in Missouri seeks a Track & Field/Cross Country Head Coach to lead both men’s and women’s programs. You will recruit, develop, and supervise student-athletes, plan training and competition, and ensure academic success and compliance with NJCAA rules.

You will collaborate with Admissions and Athletics staff to build competitive rosters, manage day-to-day operations, and represent SCC athletics professionally within the college and community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of track & field and cross-country training principles and safety practices.
• Demonstrated ability to recruit, motivate, develop, and supervise student-athletes.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for all aspects of men’s and women’s cross country and track & field programs.
• Plan practices, workouts, strength and conditioning, and competition prep.
• Develop seasonal training plans for cross country and track events.
• Recruit qualified student-athletes and maintain recruiting records.
• Supervise coaches and volunteers and coordinate travel, scheduling, and meet entries.
• Ensure academic progress and NJCAA eligibility of student-athletes.
• Maintain compliance with NJCAA, Region 16, and institutional rules.
