Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate or CECP/LHSAA eligibility.
• CDL Class B or higher with P/S endorsement, no air brake restrictions.
• Meets LDOE school bus driver requirements for district transport.
• Employment with Jefferson Parish Public School System as teacher/administrator.
• Meets Article 3.3 requirements for cross country coaches, per LHSAA.
• Demonstrated track fundamentals knowledge and LHSAA/JPPSS rules.
• Cross country coaching experience preferred at any level.

Responsibilities

• Develop, organize and implement the entire cross country program.
• Provide leadership to cross country personnel and student athletes.
• Adhere to LHSAA, JPPSS and LHSAA rules and regulations.
• Work time after school and some weekends/holidays as needed.
• Supervise assistant coaches and assign duties.
• Maintain equipment, records and team statistics.
• Coordinate scheduling, travel and parental communications.
