Job Overview

High school Freedom is seeking a Cross Country assistant coaching position. The season runs from August to November in the fall.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Work cooperatively with the head athletic coach to operate a well-structured program.
2. Collaborate with the athletic department.
3. Attend all staff meetings prescribed by the head athletic coach during the season.
4. Carry out specific duties assigned by the head athletic coach.
5. Recommend equipment and supplies needed for the sports program.
6. Suggest disciplinary actions for players violating rules and procedures.
7. Foster among athletes a desire to win, sportsmanship, personal pride, and pride for their school and community.
8. Perform other duties related to the assistant athletic coach position as requested by the principal and/or athletic director.

Qualifications

1. Coaching experience or participation in the sport at high school or college levels.
2. Completion of CPR and First Aid training or enrollment in current courses.
3. Preferred experience as a teacher or classified employee in Loudoun County Public Schools.
4. Preference for candidates with a Virginia Teaching License or full-time classified employment in Loudoun County Public Schools.
