This position supports laboratory and field activities within the Crop & Soil Sciences department.

Position Summary

Assist in lab experiments, prepare for upcoming experiments, keep laboratory areas and greenhouses clean and organized. Assist with field experiments and provide support to technicians and graduate students as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform and prepare for laboratory experiments related to crop and soil science.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of laboratory areas and greenhouses.
• Assist with field experiments, including preparation and execution.
• Support technicians and graduate students as required.
• Work full-time during summer months, with shifts typically starting at 7:00 AM (occasionally 6:00 AM for travel to Plains and Griffin).
• Drive as required for job duties.

Qualifications

• High school graduate preferred.
• Knowledge or experience operating farm equipment preferred.
• Positive attitude, ability to work well with others, and willingness to work independently.
• Comfortable working in outdoor environments, including dirt and varying weather conditions.
• Physical ability to walk, bend, stoop, lift lightweight materials, and work outdoors.
• Must be able to drive as part of job duties.
