Job summary

Syngenta Group invites a Crop Protection Field Development Intern to join our Indianapolis, IN team. You will work with experienced R&D scientists on meaningful projects supporting crop protection product development and technologies.

Gain hands-on experience through independent work, shadowing, and cross-functional exposure within our Emerging Talent Program. This internship emphasizes field activities, data collection, and collaboration with Sales and Agronomy teams, while developing

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in agriculture, biology, or related field.
• Continuing enrollment after internship with graduation date Dec 2027 or later.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors and outside normal hours.
• Basic farm equipment knowledge is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Learn Syngenta crop protection products and product development processes.
• Understand Field Development’s role within R&D and operations.
• Support field trial activities: planting, treatments, maintenance, data capture, and field tours.
• Collaborate with local sales and agronomy teams on field projects.
• Develop independence while following safety guidelines.
• Define personal development goals and pursue them during internship.
• Manage a project under supervision and present results to stakeholders.
• Engage in performance discussions for growth and feedback.
