Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to recruit and train agents.
• Knowledge of or the ability to gain experience of the agricultural industry, including understanding crops produced in the territory.
• Knowledge of Rain and Hail's products, services and systems.
• Knowledge of underwriting and claim adjustment rules for crop insurance programs.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Company personnel, outside resources and customers.
• Ability to travel away from home for extended periods of time and relocation willingness.

Responsibilities

• Gaining experience with and in support of the products and services offered by the company including Multi-peril crop insurance, named peril crop programs, and Agribusiness programs
• Assist in the marketing and sales of all lines of business
• Develop a relationship with the agency plant in the assigned division and assist in training agents
• Gain familiarity with Rain and Hail systems and technology to maximize efficiency for agents and adjusters
• Assist field structure in management of assigned territory and communicate policy and procedures to adjusters and staff
• Perform administrative duties including investigating complaints and aiding in collection of premiums
• Monitor quality control audits to ensure field requirements are fulfilled
• Identify and contract qualified independent adjusters
• Gain experience in loss adjustment procedures for crops
• Attend industry seminars and field days
• Assist in supervision and completion of claims
• Assist with other duties as necessary

Education

Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Business or related field
